Our Story
Raise the Woof offers premium, personalized anti-boarding pet care designed for pets who thrive in the comfort of their own home.
We have served North Tallahassee for 3 years, currently expanded to Midtown, East Tallahassee, Monticello, Thomasville, GA and Bainbridge, GA!
Unlike traditional boarding facilities, our anti-boarding approach allows your pets to remain in their familiar environment, maintaining their routine and enjoying dedicated attention from our experienced pet sitters while you travel with peace of mind.
This service was born from the compassionate concern of a local pet groomer and veterinary technician, who witnessed firsthand the stress and trauma that many animals experience in kennel environments. From anxious pets to those with special needs, not every animal is suited for institutional care, and we believe they shouldn’t have to be.
We prioritize clear communication, nurturing care, and a stress-free experience for both you and your pets. At Raise the Woof, our mission is simple: exceptional care for your pets, wherever they call home.

Hi, I’m Chani, a dedicated pet care professional with a diverse background in animal welfare, veterinary services, and business management.My journey began in animal controlfor the county, and over the years I’ve deepened my commitment to animals by volunteering with rescues across North Carolina,gaining hands-on experience with pets of all temperaments and needs.
With time spent as a veterinary technician and now working part-time as a pet groomer in Tallahassee, I’ve developed a strong foundation in both animal health and behavior. These experiences revealed a growing need for dependable, personalized pet care in our community—and that’s how Raise the Woof was born. For the past three years, I’ve proudly served local families with reliable pet sitting and grooming services tailored to each pet’s unique personality and care routine.
Currently, I’m a full-time student, which gives me the flexibility to offer high-quality care while continuing to pursue my educational goals. I’m fortunate to have the support of my closest friends, who help make Raise the Woof a compassionate and responsive team our clients can count on.
Whether it's daily visits, overnight stays, or special needs support, I treat every animal and client with patience, love, and respect.

Hello! My name is Amanda, and I’ve spent the last 10 years professionally grooming and caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. My journey began in a small boutique salon where I fell in love with the joy and trust animals bring to the grooming table. Over the years, I’ve expanded my expertise in canine and feline care—specializing in breed-specific grooming, coat maintenance, and stress-reducing handling techniques that prioritize comfort and safety.
Beyond the grooming salon, I’ve regularly cared for my clients’ pets during vacations and emergencies earning praise not just for my skill, but for the genuine bond I build with every animal I meet. Whether it’s an energetic pup, a shy senior cat, or a family of rescue pets, I tailor my approach to meet their unique emotional and physical needs.
I’m reliable, communicative, and deeply passionate about creating calm, loving environments for animals when their owners can’t be home. Think of me not just as a sitter, but as a trusted companion who treats every pet as family.

With a strong background in business management, I know how to run things efficiently and responsibly. But my heart lies in caregiving, for both children and animals. For over 18 years, I’ve raised children (including my own), provided personalized childcare, and built safe, structured environments that balance routine with emotional connection.
I generally offer pet stays in my own home provided they get along with my pets! My attention to detail and empathy carries over into pet sitting. I understand that pets, like children, thrive on consistency, trust, and affection. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or keeping a watchful eye on behavioral cues, I prioritize the well-being and comfort of every furry companion.

I'm a full-time pet groomer, passionate animal lover, and proud rescue parent who thrives on bringing joy to both pets and their people. My journey deepened when I adopted and rehabilitated my dog,learning firsthand how trust, patience, and consistent love can transform a life.
Outside of grooming, you’ll usually find me baking something cozy and homemade, or chatting with friends and clients about how to make animals feel safe, happy, and understood. I believe communication is everything—whether it’s picking up on your pet’s subtle cues or butt wiggles or keeping you updated while you're away. I love connecting with animals and making them feel seen, cared for, and loved.
